Take your first step into something that can change your life. In 28 days, you’ll finish this training with the necessary tools, skills and insights to guide you on your own journey. One of the things that’s so rewarding about these 200 hours intensives, is that each one of us comes to the mat for something different. Our journey is unique to ourselves, yet for 28 days we learn and grow together, become part of the same energy. You will learn to create flows for a variety of class types. Explore what works best for your body. This course offers a complete study of the eight limbs of yoga based upon the Yoga Sutras. Our training is devoted to helping Yoga Teachers teach to all walks of life. Our motto is “yoga for all” Our asana technique explores contemporary principles of alignment and safety, while honouring our students’ need for creativity, freedom, and self-expression in their practice. The 200 Hours course is held in a collaboration with "Yoga Vedanta" school.


1. Asanas (Postures): You will learn many postures of Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga with Iyengar style. Study various asanas and the technique of teaching the postures, the benefits of each posture, modifications, contraindications, and the use of props.
§ Standing poses. § Sitting poses, forward bends and hip openers. § Sitting/supine twists. § Back bends. § Inversions. § Arm balances. § Restorative postures.
2. Adjustment: Learn how to adjust these asanas and understand how adjustment can deepen your practice.
3. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): These are based on traditional yogic breathing techniques which will benefit your yoga practice as you learn how to lengthen your breath. How to incorporate breathing into postures and into your classes. How breath work assists the body.
4. Shatkarma (Cleansing Techniques): These yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into the daily morning schedule and will work in conjunction with the asana practices. These will purify the nervous system and allow your breath to flow freely throughout the body. In expelling toxins from the body, we therefore clean it.
5. Yogic Mudras (Energy Seals): Stimulate different parts of the body by sealing in the energy. These are usually used in Pranayama and affect the flow of prana.
6. Bandhas (Energy Locks): How they regulate the flow of energy and assists the practitioner in asana.
7. Meditation: You will cover a range of meditation techniques that will help build concentration and focus in your daily practice. Techniques include Om Chanting, Chakra, candlelight Meditation.
8. Mantras (Chanting): A range of mantras will be taught including the Gayatri Mantra and many more. Find your inner harmony in these sessions.

Anatomy Studies:

You will learn anatomy relevant to yoga in order to strengthen the classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asanas.
1. Yoga and Skeletal System, Brain and Nervous System, Respiratory System, Digestive System, Cardiovascular System.
2. Effects of kriya, Pranayama, Asanas and Meditation for various disorders.
3. Subtle Body Anatomy of the chakras, nadis and the application of chakras energy in the practice of Yoga.


Introduction to Ayurveda and Yogic Diet is what we will cover in our course. Ayurveda is the ancient medical technology that is still practised widely today and just the bachelor's degree takes 5 years to complete. What we aim to cover here is the essential knowledge of Ayurveda for a wholesome experience and all round exposure to the life of a yogi, like home remedies and how to prepare them, which are available in your own kitchens and gardens.

Fees include tuition for the course, accommodation, three full meals per day and a daily tea.

Information and Instructions for payment procedure will be sent to you with your letter of acceptance. To reserve your seat, you need to pay US$ 250 as non-refundable deposit via PayPal. The balance of the payment may be made on Orientation Day upon arrival in Rishikesh and the method we accept is cash (Indian Rupees or US Dollars), credit card (extra fees might be charged by the money exchange) and bank transfer. Payments by online transfer may be made in any Currency, as we will receive all payments in Indian Rupees.

Course fee including deposit paid for registration is non-refundable and it is valid for one year from the actual course date. Students are required to pay a deposit to secure their space, and the outstanding course fee must be paid in full before the course commences. Please note that we do not give refunds, so it is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully insured against any unforeseen circumstances that either prevent you from attending the course, or that require you to leave the course early.

After registration in the course, you need to pay US$ 250 as non-refundable deposit via PayPal which is part of the course fee. Day-off / Local Sightseeing

After three weeks of learning, the students receive "How to teach" classes, with the objective that they learn how to prepare and conduct yoga classes.

All accommodation during the time of the course is provided by Yoga Courses in India and is included in your course fees. Students live together at the Sonu Guesthouse residence in Lakshman Jhula, Swarg Ashram area. The Guesthouse is located in a peaceful part of Rishikesh and is surrounded by the forest, ayurvedic cafes, and little shops. It is a 5 minutes walk down to the banks of the holy Ganges river where students can go to relax, explore, drink chai, and watch the sunset. Our Yoga Ashram is located on the foothills of the Himalayas and the Ganges river which gives you fresh oxigen and a beautiful environment.

During the yoga teacher training course all students are provided single/double room accommodation with attached bath. The rooms include two twin beds, one full bathroom with hot water and shower facilities. Bedding is provided and towels are available upon request. Laundry facilities are not included but students are able to wash their own clothes and laundry services can be arranged and inquired about at reception. Wifi is available! Students are ensured a comfortable space in their rooms to relax and rest during the course, but will be spending most of their time in the yoga hall! The rooftop have a 360 degree view of the Himalayas and Ganges and provide a beautiful space for students to enjoy like home.

Three full meals and tea is included in your course fees. The food Yoga Courses in India provides is all delicious homemade traditional Indian food, prepared fresh daily in our kitchen. All the ingredients are high quality and are sourced locally and fresh from the markets. Breakfast begins around 09:00 am and includes fresh local fruits, like papaya, mango, apple, and lots of bananas. Breakfast also offers porridge, brown bread and toast, nut butters, yogurt, fresh honey ginger lemon tea, and more. Lunch begins around 12:30pm and Dinner around 7:30pm, both offers a wide array of Indian options with the occasional Western touch for a taste of home. Our menu always changes to keep it interesting, but often includes favourites like lentils, dal, chickpeas, chapati and naan bread, a vegetable dish, tofu, salad, soup, rice, and a tasty dessert. In order for you to have the full yogic experience all of our meals are designed to keep the body light but strong and nourished during your training. Please let us know if you are dairy free so we can ensure a vegan option for each dish.

On your day off there are many local cafes, shops and restaurants to enjoy. Traditional masala chai tea and herbal teas are available everywhere. There are many friendly animals and locals on the streets, which makes every walk through town interesting and enjoyable! Little shops with nice inexpensive Indian clothes and tailors, books in many languages, ayurvedic products and traditional items line the streets, so don't bring too much in your backpack! Everything you may need is in short walking distance. Rishikesh has a vibrant Indian culture and deep spiritual tradition that makes it a wonderful community and environment in which to enjoy your yoga journey.

India requires that all foreigners obtain a Visa prior to arrival in India. Please be sure to give yourself ample time to arrange an Indian Tourist Visa through an Indian Consulate or Visa Services Company before leaving your home country and traveling to India. Also please arrange proper travel insurance and any other requirements you may have (i.e. bank arrangements, healthcare) before traveling.

You are welcome to bring your laptop, cameras, phones, tablets, or other electronics to use during your stay in India. Please choose to leave your valuables (such as jewellery) at home. If it is necessary to bring your valuables, please be sure you are able to keep them safely. Rishikesh is a safe city and Yoga Courses in India maintains your safety as a priority, however, theft happens everywhere and we cannot be responsible for any items of value that go missing.
